Supplier Excellence Alliance Announces New Directors, Officers and Advisory Board Members
IRVINE, Calif., April 25, 2008 – Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) Board Chairman, Michael G.
Beason, announced the election of new directors, officers and Advisory Board members. Steve Barton
and C. Caldwell Hart, Jr. were elected to the SEA Board of Directors. Current board member, Frank
Thompson was elected Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee. William Alderman was
elected to the SEA Board of Advisors.
Steve Barton is President & CEO of Esterline Kirkhll-TA Co., Esterline's Engineered Materials Group.
The Engineered Materials Group designs, develops, and manufactures high performance elastomer
products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. Operations include Kirkhill, TA Aerospace,
Haskon Aerospace, and CSE. Mr. Barton has held various executive level positions within Esterline since
1998 and has prior experience in the automotive supply industry. Mr. Barton earned his B.A. from the
University of Maine and his M.S. degree from Villanova University.
Caldwell Hart is Director, Strategic Commodity Management for Dresser-Rand, global suppliers of
rotating equipment solutions, with centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, expanders,
gas turbine packages, and control systems. Mr. Hart began his career with Dresser-Rand in 2006 as a
Director, Indirect Strategic Commodity Management. Prior to joining Dresser-Rand he held various
positions in supply management and operations with Bristol Myers-Squibb, United Technologies
Corporation, and The Vanguard Group. He holds a BA from Washington & Lee University and a Masters
of Business Administration from The Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Frank Thompson is Group Vice President, Supply Chain Management, for Parker Aerospace.
Mr. Thompson is responsible for developing and implementing group-wide plans and strategies
for strategic supply chain. Joining the company in 1998, Thompson has held positions in
procurement at Parker’s Air & Fuel Division. Mr. Thompson holds a BS degree from California
State University - Long Beach and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
William H. Alderman is Founder and President of Alderman & Company Capital. During his 15-year
career in aerospace and finance, he has completed more than $1 billion in mergers, acquisitions, and
related transactions. Mr. Alderman began his career at Bankers Trust Company and has held senior
positions in investment management and corporate development at GE Capital. Mr. Alderman has been
quoted as an industry expert by Bloomberg Television, CBS Marketwatch, USA Today, the Chicago
Tribune, Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. Mr. Alderman is a graduate of the JL Kellogg
Graduate School of Management and Kenyon College.
