Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) installs Lockheed Martin’s Thomas Plungis as new SEA President

Irvine, California – November 6, 2006 – Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) Board Chairman, Michael Beason, announced the SEA Board of Directors elected Thomas Plungis of Lockheed Martin Corporation as SEA’s new president. The election of SEA officers took place at the SEA Board of Directors Annual Meeting on October 31, 2006 in Bethesda, MD.

Mr. Plungis is Director of Subcontracts and Supply Chain Management for Lockheed Martin Corporate Shared Services’ Global Supply Chain Management Organization. He’s responsible for policies and practices as well supplier management processes and tools across Lockheed Martin. He has served as a SEA vice president for the past three years.

“Tom’s contribution over the past three years has been invaluable in helping SEA become the driving force for the conversion of the aerospace and defense supply chain. We know his strong leadership will help the Alliance advance its mission to accelerate supply chain performance,” noted Beason.

Mr. Plungis succeeds Kenneth Marcia as SEA president. Mr. Marcia, Vice President for Supply Chain Management and Process Innovation for Dresser-Rand Group, Inc., will serve on the SEA Advisory Board, in the capacity of Past President. “Everyone connected with the Alliance is grateful to Ken for his strategic vision, leadership and tireless efforts in the development and growth of our organization,” added Beason.

Beason also reported that Rick Behrens Senior Manager, Supplier Development for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems and Daniel Wallace Director, Value Stream Performance with Dresser-Rand Group, Inc., joined the SEA board as Directors.
