Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) Member Meeting scheduled for June 8, 2006 at The Boeing Company, Seattle WA

Irvine, California – April 18, 2006 – The next Member Meeting of the Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) is set for Thursday, June 8, 2006. The Member Meeting will be hosted by The Boeing Company at its Seattle, WA facility.

SEA is the joint program office for the aerospace, defense, and space industries’ supply chain conversion. As a non-profit alliance of leading industry contractors, SEA’s purpose is to accelerate supply chain performance and help U. S. suppliers become more competitive.

According to SEA board chairman, Michael Beason, “This Member Meeting promises to be the largest to date. It will draw executives from the aerospace, defense and space “primes,” tier-one suppliers, and leading supplier firms. Representatives from governmental agencies and the media will also be in attendance.”

The SEA Member Meeting is a vital industry educational forum. The agenda includes:
An informative site visit to the Boeing 737 “moving production line"
An interactive follow-up discussion on the impact of “moving production lines” on the supply chain and how those changes translate into new requirements for suppliers
Presentations by supplier companies on the results they are achieving through implementation of the SEA Lean Enterprise System, the business system now being deployed across the industry
A Supplier Panel discussion focused on industry challenges
A Prime Panel with a lively discussion on industry changes and the impact on the supply chain
Opportunities to network
