Irvine, California – April 14, 2006 - Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) Board Chairman, Michael Beason, announced the addition of three new members to the SEA Board of Directors, representing leading organizations in the aerospace, defense and space industries.

Dennis Bent, Vice President, Operations & Strategic Sourcing, will represent BAE Systems, Inc. on the SEA Board. BAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defense and aerospace systems.

Brad Hart, President, will serve on the board representing Roberts Tool Company, Inc. Roberts Tool Company is a full-service, precision machining firm serving the aerospace and commercial industries.

Cristi Cristich, President and founder, will represent Cristek Interconnects on the SEA Board. Cristek Interconnects offers ultra miniature connecting devices and cabling systems.

Cristich and Hart will also continue to serve on the Supplier Advisory Council (SAC), a select group of CEOs from supplier companies engaged in implementing the SEA Industry Conversion Plan.

SEA is the joint program office for the aerospace, defense, and space industries’ supply chain conversion. As a non-profit alliance of leading industry contractors, SEA’s purpose is to accelerate supply chain performance and help U. S. suppliers become more competitive. In part, this is accomplished by deploying a common business system across the supply chain. This business system is the Lean Enterprise System (LES).

The LES helps suppliers build new capabilities that enable them to become more competitive and better support the emerging needs of their customers. The LES also builds a culture where lean production principles and standard work are applied throughout the organization to ensure sustained improvements in delivery and quality while reducing lead times and cost.

SEA member companies include BAE Systems, The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Company, United Technologies, Parker Aerospace, Rockwell Collins, Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, Sikorsky Aircraft, Textron, Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Honeywell, TW Metals, Space Systems Loral, Bombardier, Hitco Carbon Composites, Firth Rixson, Dresser-Rand, Roberts Tool Company, and Cristek Interconnects.
