Why Participate?
- Nominating your suppliers shows good will and helps to improve your relationship and build trust.
- Nominating your customers can open doors and permit dialogue that sometimes isn’t easy to generate.
- Nominating your own company helps you to get national recognition for all the good things you’ve accomplished.
- Nominating your peers demonstrates your leadership and opens the door for collaboration.
Of course you can participate because this awards process is for the entire aerospace and defense industry. We would love for you to join SEA, but even if you don’t, we welcome your participation and fellowship. Please nominate early – give your nominee maximum time to prepare their application.
––– SUPPLY CHAIN SUMMIT –––
The SEA Supply Chain Summits are an ongoing dialogue between customers and suppliers about changes in the supply chain and how these are impacting suppliers across the country. CEOs and owners are making strategic decisions about their companies in these sessions. You cannot under estimate the impact when customers and suppliers get together to discuss the real issues in the supply chain.
SEA held its second very successful Supply Chain Summit on February 16, 2010. A panel made up of prime and tier-one representatives and suppliers engaged in candid discussion on Redundant Audits and Scorecards.
Don’t miss the next Supply Chain Summit on June 8, 2010 in Schaumburg, IL. You’re “flying blind” if you don’t attend these summits. Members only please.
––– SUPPLIER KEYNOTES –––
"We’re just suppliers… Like you... Proud of our companies… Committed to Excellence"
The “Keynote” format relies on results and improvement track records. SEA suppliers are a very different breed - they’re sophisticated, they understand process management, they speak the language of process – and they have something to teach us about improvement.
Our Keynote strategy is generating a lot of “buzz” and “energy” as the SEA and the SEA Supplier brand means excellence to everyone in the industry. A total of five suppliers presented their Keynotes in the last conference – their presentations are posted on the SEA YouTube Channel.
––– SUPPLIER REGISTRY –––
The SEA Supplier Registry is gaining popularity with our customers who are now using it to find qualified suppliers for their supply chain. As they use The Registry more and more, they are beginning to ask for more information in order to evaluate suppliers. At their request, we have added a link to supplier’s websites. We are also busy adding Keynote videos so they can hear directly from the CEO or owner of that company on improvements that you’re making.
How do you get on the Registry? SEA “Certified” and “Performing” suppliers are listed in the SEA Supplier Registry on the SEA Website. Basic+ members that participate in the Quarter Performance Review Process, submit a Quarterly Report that is accepted earn the status of “Performing.” The Quarterly Review Process consists of the submission of an Annual Improvement Plan and a Quarterly Report. SEA reviews your report and provides feedback. If your report meets the criteria, then you are accepted as a “Performing Supplier” and listed on the SEA Supplier Registry and promoted to over 30,000 customers industry wide.
If you are interested in new business, there is nothing more effective than the visibility that SEA provides to the industry. Our formula is simple and it works – improve your performance and make yourself more visible as a supplier who “gets it” and wants to help improve our competitiveness in the market by investing in improvements in process management and performance.
